Jack Teixeira To Plead Guilty For Scrambling Biden Administration And Leaking 700K Documents

A member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, Jack Teixeira is anticipated to have breached the classified military documents by leaking them on social media. As per reports made in court papers on Thursday, he pleaded guilty.

Allegedly, the leaked documents on Discord included highly sensitive information about numerous military assessments of the U.S. On March 4, 2024, Monday a meeting will be scheduled for Jack Teixeira’s case hearing, asked to a Boston Judge by Federal prosecutors. Currently, further information about the hearing is not available.

It is noteworthy that, Jack has also pleaded not guilty to six times transfer of national defense information and willful retention. Neither the attorney for Jack nor the Massachusetts US attorney’s office responded to the media for further updates.

Jack Teixeira Behind Bars

Teixeira, the resident of North Dighton, Massachusetts has been in prison since his arrest on April 14, 2023. His leak back then was a concussion for the Biden Administration by posing a threat to assessment. The administration reassured its allies that their secrets were in safe hands with the U.S.

The leak encompasses more than 700,000 documents, diplomatic cables, and videos. It is still considered the worst breach in the history of US national security.

Moreover, Jack Teixeira was also accused of leaking highly sensitive data on national security topics and the Russia-Ukrain War on the social media platform, Discord. Investigation revealed that Jack led a private group “Thug Shaker Central” on Discord. The group comprised of enthusiasts sharing their views and opinions on various international affairs and national security topics.

In 2019, Teixeira was listed in the Air National Guard, where he began sharing information around January 2023. He also allegedly leaked military secrets in his Discord group including pictures and classified documents with ‘secret’ and ‘top secret’ markings. Teixeira also worked as a “cyber transport systems specialist.”

Jack Teixeira was detected in a story released by The New York Times for the first time on April 6, 2023, while searching the term ‘leak.’
