Jake Gyllenhaal was ‘pretty cool’ with Nolan informing him about losing Batman role

Los Angeles, March 27 (IANS) Actor Jake Gyllenhaal shared his experience of losing out on two significant roles in the final stages of casting. He missed out on playing roles in Christopher Nolan‘s ‘Batman Begins’ and Christian in Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Moulin Rouge!’

In the auditions for ‘Moulin Rouge!’, Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger, and Ewan McGregor were the final contenders. Gyllenhaal expressed his disappointment at not getting the role, especially as Ledger, who later starred with him in ‘Brokeback Mountain’, was also disappointed.
