Jam Master Jay: Charges expected in unsolved 2002 murder of Run-DMC DJ
The US Lawyer for the Jap District of New York will maintain a 2:30 p.m. information convention Monday to announce the unsealing of a legal indictment charging two males together with his murder in a Queens drug trafficking case.
The boys had been recognized as Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington, based on prosecution’s press workplace. Jordan Jr. might be arraigned this afternoon by way of teleconference, and Washington might be arraigned later this week.
Within the early 1980s, Jam Master Jay teamed up with Run (Joseph Simmons) and DMC (Darryl McDaniels) to type the hip hop trio Run-DMC. With Jam Master Jay on the turntables as DJ, they grew to become the primary hip hop group to succeed in mainstream common music success, solidified by the rap-rock crossover “Stroll This Means” with Aerosmith in 1986.
Run-DMC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Corridor of Fame in 2009 for his or her groundbreaking legacy.
Jam Master Jay was killed shortly after the group launched its 2001 album “Crown Royal,” and the group disbanded after his dying.
