Jammu and Kashmir DDC election: Gupkar got 96 seats, BJP emerged as the single largest party with 70 seats

In the first election of District Development Council in Jammu and Kashmir, the alliance of seven parties led by Farooq Abdullah has won 96 seats till the result of 244 seats out of a total of 280 on Tuesday, while BJP became the largest party with 70 seats. Has emerged.

So far 43 independents have won. The Congress has won 21 seats. In the Union Territory, the election of DDC started on November 28 and was completed in eight phases. This is the first election in the state after the abolition of Article 370 of the Constitution in August, 2019 and the special state status of Jammu and Kashmir was abolished.

A total of 280 seats (140 in Jammu and 140 in Kashmir) have been voted for. The results of the DDC elections are visible as per the estimates. BJP remains strong in the Jammu region, while the alliance of regional parties like the National Conference, PDP, Gupkar’s performance is better in Kashmir Valley and Pir Panjal and Chenab Valley areas of Jammu.

He said that the people of the Valley have expressed their faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
