In another act of senseless gun violence Saiveon Hopkins, popularly known as Jay Hefner, lost his life in a shooting in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Sunday.
Jay Hefner is survived by a 10-month-old daughter, his mother and siblings.

The news of Saiveon Hopkins’ demise was announced by YouTuber Adam22 and A GoFundMe page has been launched to raise funds for his funeral expenses.
The GoFundMe page stated,
âDue to the financial strain already placed on the family for Jeniâs medical care and the unexpected passing, I am wanting to help raise funds to relieve them of the financial burden during an already devastating time. Funerals can be costly and we would like to honor Saiveon in a way that he deserves.â
Saiveon Hopkins, who was in the adult film industry and was known as Jay Hefner, had flown down to Lincoln from his home in Ontario, Canada to celebrate a birthday party with his family over the weekend.
According to the media house The Sun, the shooting incident happened at 01.30 am and when Police officers responded to the shooting and reached the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds in the downtown area in the 100 block of North 11th Street.
The victims were rushed to the hospital where Saiveon Hopkins succumbed to his injuries. The other victim is suffering from non-lethal wounds.
The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) eventually issued an official press release:
âDespite immediate life-saving measures by medical personnel, the 24-year-old Lincoln man passed away from his injuries around 5:37 a.m. LPD is not releasing his name at this time while next of kin is notified.”
However, it is now confirmed that the deceased was, in fact, Jay Hefner.
Tributes and condolences are pouring in from near and dear ones of Jay Hefner, aka Saiveon Hopkins. Hopkinsâ girlfriend, Madeline Murchison was the first one to pay tributes and described him as her âwhole heart in human form.â
Hopkins’ 24-year-old cousin @LeeiLonie who also shared the GoFundMe page via a tweet said,
âLast night my cousin was murdered in Nebraska. If you can share this, we can lay him to rest.â
Hopkins’ Instagram profile reveals that he was the brand ambassador for Fashion Nova, Rockstar Original and Drawlz Brand Co.
At the start of this year, he had shared the news with his fans that he had finished a degree in dentistry.
