Jay Ladner, 58, holds a coaching record of 61-84 and has led Southern Miss to recent successes. As a head basketball coach, Ladner is known for guiding and shaping the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Ladner’s journey in collegiate basketball began at Southern Miss, where he was part of the 1987 NIT Championship team. His experience as a player at Southern Miss laid the foundation for his coaching career, instilling in him a winning mentality and a deep understanding of success at the collegiate level.
In 1992, Ladner started his coaching journey in the high school ranks before transitioning to junior college coaching and eventually to the collegiate level. He has achieved notable success throughout his coaching career, including guiding Jones County Junior College to the NJCAA Division I National Championship in 2014.
