All About Jeff Bezos’ Children

The Amazon founder is a father of 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter. The three sons are from his first wife MacKenzie Scott. While, Bezos along with his wife adopted a girl from China, however, very least information is available about her too. Only the eldest son Preston is revealed to the public rest of the kids’ names are not disclosed to the media.

As mentioned above, His eldest son’s name is Preston. The name is the middle name of Jeff, taken from Bezos’ great-grandfather, Lloyd Preston Gise. They hardly make any public appearances as a family. They were last seen together as a family in a rare public appearance during the premiere of Star Trek Beyond in 2016. 

Also, philanthropist MacKenzie Scott divorced Jeff Bezos in late September 2022.

During an interview with Vogue magazine, his former wife Scoot stated that she decided to put her career as a novelist on pause to focus on her children and raise her family.

She said- “Writing is such a ‘pretend’ profession, Nobody is counting on you at all. You can’t ‘pretend’ to be a lawyer or a teacher. It takes a lot of grit to continue. Kids, on the other hand, have an urgent need to be taken care of. After the third child, I knew I couldn’t be the kind of parent I wanted to be and continue writing.”

On the other hand, Bezos never publicly spoke about his kids and their upbringing.

Speaking on his own upbringing Jeff Bezos in an interview stated, “I think in every immigrant you’ll find a deep optimism and a deep resilience too,” he said at the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Awards. “My dad is an intensely hard worker. My dad is warm and he teaches an easy smile. My brother and sister and I could not have had a better role model.”

His father was Cuban and moved to America for a better life. According to Jeff, because of his father’s influence, he became successful.
