Jennifer Dulos Case Solved After Five Years Of Her Disappearance: Michelle Troconis Faces Up To 50 Years Prison
On May 24, 2019, a 50-year-old mother of five, Jennifer Dulos went missing from Connecticut after dropping off her children at school.
Authorities suspected her of being attached violently at home and murdered. As per CNN, she was declared dead in October 2023 officially by a Connecticut judge.
Initially, the suspect was Fotis Dulos, her husband from whom she took the divorce. As per CNN, the murder charges were initially put upon Fotis Dulos, the real estate developer, and Michelle Troconis, his Venezuelan colleague and girlfriend.
The New York Times reported that, despite a thorough search, Jennifer Dulos couldn’t be found by the New Canaan Police Department.
Recent Development in the Case
Fotis Dulos’s partner, Michelle Troconis has been convicted of murdering Jennifer Dulos on Friday, 01 March 2024. This case was solved nearly five years after the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.
After a thorough case hearing, the jury found Troconis guilty of hindering the prosecution, tampering with evidence, and committing murder.
The jury also found that Michelle Troconis helped Fotis Dulos in murdering his divorced wife and also helped him in disposing of all the evidence.
As per Stamford Advocate, citing Connecticut state statute, “Troconis faces up to 50 years in prison.”
Who was Jennifer Dulos?
Jennifer Farber Dulos was born in New York City to parents Hilliard Farber and Gloria Ortenberg on September 27, 1968. She was also a writer on the American news platform Patch.com and was a mother of five.
She met her divorced husband, Fotis Dulos in 1987 at Brown University.
Fotis got divorced from his first wife and married Jennifer in August 2004. Later, the duo moved to Farmington, Connecticut and had 5 children.
However, as per Stamford Advocate, Jennifer filed the divorce mentioning, “irrational, unsafe, bullying, threatening and controlling behavior” from Fotis on June 20, 2017.
At the time of divorce, Fotis Dulos was in a $7 million debt and involved in an affair with Michelle Troconis. After the divorce filing, Jennifer moved to a New Canaan house with her children. Meanwhile, Fotis and Troconis moved into the former’s Farmington house with the latter’s daughter.

Despite thorough research throughout the state using helicopters, dogs, and drones, Jennifer Dulos could never be found. Her remains were also never discovered.
