SHOCKING OSCAR 2024: John Cena goes nude while presenting the award for Best Costume Award.

John Cena’s entry took a shocking turn when he appeared nude to present the Best Costume Award. In a viral clip, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel introduces Cena as the presenter of the category, hinting he might come out nude. Jimmy says:

“Can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today? I said, can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today? Wouldn’t that be crazy?”

Although initially Cena looks reluctant to come out in front of the audience with no clothes, Jimmy later convinces him to come out, leaving the audience in laughter. John Cena says-

“I changed my mind. I don’t want to do the streaker bit. I just don’t feel right about it. It’s an elegant event, you know, you should feel shame right now for suggesting such a tasteless joke,”

Cena appears to cover his modesty with a big envelope with the winner’s name of Best Costume.

Right after announcing the category, nominated members appear on the screen.

In the meantime, Kimmel drapes a massive curtain on him.

Now looking relaxed, Cena moves ahead to present the award to the winner Holly Waddington for Poor Things. 

She surpassed many notable personalities that were nominated in the same category including Jacqueline West for Killers of the Flower Moon, Jacqueline Durran for Barbie, Ellen Mirojnick for Oppenheimer and Janty Yates and Dave Crossman for Napoleon. 

According to Variety, the act was part of paying homage to one of the most awkward moments in Oscars history, around 50 years ago, a man ran on stage naked during the 46th Academy Awards when David Niven was introducing Elizabeth Taylor.
