Journey of Jaya Bachchan: From FTII to Bollywood Star to Samajwadi MP

Celebrating her 76th birthday, renowned actress and politician Jaya Bachchan, born as Jaya Bhaduri, began her journey in Indian cinema with the Bengali film ‘Mahanagar’. Transitioning to Hindi cinema, she became a superstar with hits like ‘Guddi’ and ‘Parichay’.

Jaya married Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in 1973, becoming one of India’s most celebrated couples.
