Julie Morris, British Teacher who ‘Giggled’ as she Raped a Minor with Boyfriend, Barred from Teaching Profession 

Julie Morris, a British teacher, has been imprisoned for raping a child with her boyfriend. This incident occurred when she was serving at a primary school as the deputy head. However, as per recent information, she has been barred from her teaching profession permanently, reported BBC.

As per a Daily Mail report, when this incident occurred, Julie was in Tyldesley, at St George’s Central Primary School as the ‘safeguarding lead.’

Along with her mechanic boyfriend, she carried out “acts of grave sexual depravity.”

The 46-year-old Julie Morris met 52-year-old David in 2016, on a dating website. In one of the court hearing sessions, it was said that their relationship became “intensely sexual” quickly.

Furthermore, police also informed the court that the duo abused a 13-year-old or younger girl between 2018 and 2021, on numerous occasions.

David recorded the abuse on his phone, in which the 46-year-old could be caught giggling. 

Abuse Exposed by Julie Morris

In September 2021, police officials followed the messages shared by David with a person who was in police custody. Thus, his house was raided.

The next day, police received a tip-off that the couple was planning to flee and about all the crimes committed by Morris. Thus, police “decided to swoop down on them.”

In total, Julie Morris admitted to 18 sexual offences, including two counts of rape. Moreover, he was sent to prison for 13 years and four months. Four more years were extended on license. 

According to The Mirror, now 52-year-old, David, admitted to a total of 34 offences, which counts as rape. He was sent to prison for “16 years with an extended four years on license.”

Following the conviction, Julie Morris’s case was sent to TRA or Teaching Regulation Agency. The panel’s report stated,

“The fact Ms Morris was also the safeguarding lead at her school makes her offence all the more shocking in that, while the designated point of contact for welfare and safety concerns at the school, she herself was engaged in abusing a child, albeit not one at the school.”

Thus, the panel barred her permanently from her teaching profession.
