Mumbai, March 8 (IANS) Television actress Dolly Sohi tragically passed away at the age of 48 on Friday morning after battling cervical cancer. The actress, known for her work in popular TV shows, was diagnosed with the disease last year.

In a statement shared with IANS, her team expressed their shock and sorrow over the loss, saying, “Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. The final rites shall be conducted today.” The statement also mentioned the recent loss of Dolly’s younger sister Amandeep.

Dolly had recently taken a break from shooting for the TV serial ‘Jhanak’ due to health complications related to her cervical cancer diagnosis. The actress had gained fame for her roles in shows like ‘Bhabhi’, ‘Kalash’, ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’, and ‘Khoob Ladi Mardaani… Jhansi Ki Rani’.
