Karnataka BJP delegation urges DGP to release FSL report following Pro-Pakistan slogans incident
Bengaluru, March 4 (IANS) – A delegation of Karnataka BJP legislators met with Director General of Police Alok Mohan on Monday to demand the public release of the forensic report regarding the alleged raising of pro-Pakistan slogans in the Assembly premises by supporters of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Naseer Hussain.
Dhiraj Muniraju, BJP MLA and state Yuva Morcha president, stated that DGP Alok Mohan assured the team that the FSL report would be made public in three days. “We have stated that if it is not done the party would launch a state-wide agitation,” Muniraju said.
According to Muniraju, the incident of the raising of pro-Pakistan slogans had occurred 5 days ago, and he emphasized the moral responsibility of the police department to obtain the FSL report. The delegation included BJP general secretary N.S. Nandiesha Reddy and BJP MLAs C.K. Ramamurthy, Ravi Subramanya, and Uday Garudachar.
The BJP claimed on Monday that the FSL report has confirmed the raising of pro-Pakistan slogans in the Assembly by the supporters of a Congress leader. The party shared a report from the Forensic Science Laboratory on its official handle, stating that it is highly probable to be pro-Pakistan slogans.
In response to the BJP claim, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara stated that the FSL report from a private organization would not be considered. The Minister emphasized that if the government’s FSL report confirms the slogans, action will be taken against the accused persons.
