Katy Perry has one tattoo of Jesus on her left-hand wrist, she got it inked in 2001 when she released her gospel album. Her upbringing was very religious as stated in interviews. The tattoo depicts her upbringing and her love for guitars. One time she posted a photo of the tattoo with  the caption- “My brokenness + God’s divinity = my wholeness.” She says she doesn’t follow any specific religion like Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism but feels a connection to God or a higher universe. She has admitted that this tattoo reminds her of her roots and beginnings.

In 2009 she got a strawberry tattoo on her ankle. Katy Perry got it inked to celebrate the success of her latest album One of the Boys. Also, she loves strawberries which can also be seen in her shows as she likes to dress in inflatable strawberries as stage props throughout the ‘Hello Katy’ world tour. 

In 2010, Katy got the Sanskrit phrase ‘Anuugacchati Pravaha’ on her arm. It means” go with the flow”. She and her husband Russell Brand got the same matching tattoo on their arm together. She and her husband got it when they were on a vacation in India.

Katy Perry also got a smiling peppermint tattoo on her ankle. The tattoo complements her tattoo. She got to celebrate her album Teenage Dream. During her California Dreams tour, she sported many peppermint-inspired outfits. As per re[orts, many of her crew members got the same tattoo too. 

She has a tiny lotus on her right wrist. The meaning behind this one is still unclear plus she never really shared the pictures on any social media. As per reports, the lotus symbolizes the expansion of the soul, purity, and awakening. She got it right after her divorce from her then-husband Russell Brand was finalized. The tattoo clearly denotes her ability to rise from difficult situations.
