KeemStar’s Death Announcement by DramaAlert Was an April Fools’ Prank, Netizens Call It ‘Not Funny
David Keem, popularly known as ‘KeemStar,’ is currently facing significant criticism for his April Fools’ Day death prank. It all started when he made a death announcement from his media page, DramaAlert. The post read that Keem died due to a “pulmonary embolism”.
DramaAlert, the channel run by him, sent shockwaves through the media, with many of his fans offering condolences on Twitter. The post further stated that the company’s management and team are “temporarily dissolving” to mourn the death of their founder.
KeemStar’s Fake Death Announcement for April Fools’ Criticized by Netizens
The statement from DramaAlert read:
“It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Keemstar’s passing. He peacefully departed last night in his sleep, succumbing to complications from a pulmonary embolism. Our hearts ache for his family and friends as they navigate this profound loss.
In light of Keemstar’s passing, the DramaAlert news team will be temporarily dissolving as we take time to mourn and restructure. We appreciate your understanding during this challenging period.
Keemstar was a pioneering figure in online media, known for his dedication to reporting news and fostering dialogue within the community. Keemstar’s impact will be felt far and wide, and his legacy will endure through the countless lives he touched.
The statement further added:
“The Celebration of Life event for Daniel ‘Keemstar’ Keem will be held at Delaware Park in Buffalo. An invitation is being extended to fans. Attendees are encouraged to wear black and white attire to honour his memory. The event will take place next Sunday at 3 pm to 5 pm.”
However, it turned out that the news was part of an April Fools’ Day prank when Keem informed everyone via his personal Twitter account about the same,
Well, his fans had a sigh of relief, but the prank didn’t sit well with many netizens, who called out his insensitive behavior on social media.
