Keisean Shaw Who Fatally Shot his Ex-Girlfriend Kelvi McCray, Dies A Day After Her Death

The West Palm Beach police reported that Keisean Shaw who shot his ex-girlfriend Kelvi McCray and killed her on Wednesday night, died on Thursday.

While the incident occurred, the boy shot the girl, she was on a FaceTime call with three other people.

On the night of March 6, 2024, Wednesday, around 9:45 p.m., the shooting occurred.

It happened inside a home near North Australian Avenue in the 1400 block of 13th Street.

As per the police report, they were notified about the shooting by the victim’s mother.

The mother cried in a call to 911,

“Her boyfriend came in and shot her, my baby dead.”

A neighbor from the area also called the cops and stated,

“We heard the gunshots in the house. So, the son ran and when I ran to the house, I couldn’t get in.”

As per ABC 25 WPBF News, to a 911 dispatcher, the neighbor further said,

“The mother let me in and by that time, she’s on the floor.”

Death of Kelvi McCray, ex-girlfriend of Keisean Shaw

When the West Palm Beach police reached the crime spot, they found 18-year-old Kelvi McCray dead.

The police reported that she got numerous gunshot wounds on her neck, back, and head.

The police also found the 19-year-old Keisean Shaw in the living area leaning against a wall with a gunshot wound on his head, reported CBS12.

The shooter and the prime suspect in the case is Keisean Shaw aka Keisean Woodrow Shaw who shot himself as well.

McCray and Keisean Shaw were in a relationship.

Friends and family told cops that Keisean Shaw couldn’t take the breakup in a good way.

However, “he was still living in the home.”

Mike Jachles, West Palm Beach spokesman stated, “

The victim was sitting eating dinner and FaceTiming with three friends when Shaw came in and shot her. One of the three on FaceTime was actually a witness for us that provided that quick identification.”

Taken to Hospital

Shaw and McCray both were taken to the St. Mary’s Medical Center by the Rescue crews on Wednesday night. McCray died.

According to CBS12, Keisean Shaw breathed his last on Thursday afternoon, less than a day later.

Police also reported that on Tuesday, Shaw threatened his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint. Thus, before the brutal incident, police officers were searching for Shaw.

Police officers chased Shaw for 5 miles but eventually lost him.

West Palm Beach spokesman added,

“We knew what kind of car he was in; we knew who we were looking for, but he just alluded us and tragically returned.”
