Kejriwal alleges political conspiracy as he is escorted to Rouse Avenue Court

The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has labeled his arrest in the liquor policy case as a “political conspiracy” while being taken to the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday. His ED custody comes to an end, and the central agency is set to demand additional custody. Kejriwal’s wife and other AAP leaders were also present at the court as the High Court dismissed a PIL seeking his removal from the post.

Kejriwal, while being brought to the court, responded to the L-G’s remarks by saying, “It is a political conspiracy and the public will give an answer to it.” His wife, Sunita Kejriwal, had earlier claimed in a video message that the CM would make big revelations in the alleged liquor policy scam under ED custody. The central investigative agency arrested him last week in connection with alleged money laundering linked to the now-revoked excise policy.

The Delhi High Court dismissed the PIL seeking removal of Arvind Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister, stating that there is no scope for judicial interference and it is for the government to examine the matter. The AAP National Convenor was taken to Rouse Avenue Court in the national Capital as his ED custody ended, with the agency set to demand additional custody of him.

Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest has sparked controversy with him calling it a political conspiracy. His wife and other AAP leaders were also present at the court. The CM is expected to make significant revelations in the alleged liquor policy scam. The Delhi High Court has declined to interfere, leaving it to the government to address the issue in accordance with the law.
