As per news reports, the news of his death was confirmed by his colleague and dear friend Dave Moody. Later WDEV, the Vermont radio station he owns also announced his passing away. His impact on the NASCAR community since the historic 1979 Daytona 500 remains a long-lasting legacy.

He was recently admitted to a hospice due to health challenges. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 88. His family and friends are deeply stunned after hearing the news of his demise. Who was Ken Squier?

For those who are not aware, Kenley Dean Squier was born in Waterbury, Vermont on 10 April 1935. He is a famous American sportscaster as well as a motorsports editor. With his dedication and hard work, he was titled- “Voice of NASCAR. His commentary became a synonym for NASCAR. He started his career in broadcasting in 1960 and later went on to own Motor Racing Network (MRN) in 1970, which primarily focuses on NASCAR races.

Ken Squier’s Career

Apart from doing commentary for NASCAR, he also hosted shows on TBS, ESPN and CBS. Due to his perseverance and work ethic, in 2010 his name was listed in the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America and NASCAR Hall of Fame.
