The Khanapara Teer event is organized daily at the Shillong Polo ground except on Sunday. It is an exclusive game of luck where the winners are determined by predicting the number of arrows which hit the target in an archery event. The players first buy lottery tickets of different denominations and bet their money on the number of arrows which hit the target in the archery event. A correct bet means the player wins a reward.
The Khanapara Teer event is held in two rounds. A group of fifty archers shoot thirty and twenty arrows in two phases. The arrows are to be shot in two minutes. Participants then bet on any number from 0 to 99 and if it coincides with the number of arrows which has hit the target he is the winner.
