The lottery event is organized by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association with the full blessings of the Meghalaya Government. It is completely legal and open for the residents of the North Eastern State of Meghalaya.

The actual Teer event takes place at the Polo Grounds in Shillong. The Lottery tickets are easily available both online from the official Khanapara Teer website. It can also be purchased offline from over 5000 authorized Lottery Kiosks spread across the state. The Teer event is held from Monday to Saturday while Sunday is an off day.

Khanapara Teer is a different kind of lottery and provides wholesome entertainment and also a chance to make some money if it is your lucky day. The proceeds from the Lottery sales go to the coffers of the Meghalaya Government and a part goes to helping the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association.
