The Khanapara is actually an archery event and involves a group of fifty archers shooting arrows at a target kept at a distance. The event is held at the Shillong Polo grounds and the archers are given two minutes each in two rounds to shoot the fifty arrows each. The lottery ticket holders have to guess the number of arrows which have hit the target and they can earn rewards from Sixty Rupees to 4000 rupees for a correct answer depending upon the value of the tickets they have purchased.
