Kit Harington’s Black Knight character in MCU explained
The GOT alumni made his MCU debut last year in ‘The Eternals’ movie as Dan Whitman. Teasing the fans as his future debut as Black Knight. However, nothing has been confirmed officially but fans are going crazy over the portrayal of Kit Harington as Black Knight in the movie.
If you follow Marvel comics you would know, that Black Knight doesn’t have much significance like the rest of the Avengers such as Iron Man, and Captain America. But he will likely to play a significant role in the future Eternals.
Origin
The first Black Knight was created in 1955 by Stan Lee and Joe Maneely and later published in Atlas Comics now known as Marvel. His early adventures were during the days of King Arthur, but marvel comics saw great potential in the character and decided to incorporate a new modern version to the present day. And that character was portrayed by Dane Whitman.

Why Kit Harington?
Kit Harington is no stranger to sorcery, action, and sword fighting as he has already done while playing the role of Jon Snow in ‘Game of Thrones’. A role that garnered him worldwide success with 2 Emmy nominations. So it’s obvious Kit Harington is eligible to play Black Knight. Jon Snow and Black Knight, however, offer a lot of different variances.
Also, keep in mind that the Dane is not exactly an Eternal. His role is more of a secondary role as compared to the rest of the Eternal cast. Similar to the role of James Rhodes in Iron Man. But in future movies, his role will turn to more heroic and vital in the movie plotline. It would also be great to see Kit Harington reach even bigger global success with the role of Black Knight.
