KL Rahul to consult specialist in London for quadriceps injury, likely to miss Dharamshala Test: Report

NEW DELHI – Indian cricketer KL Rahul is set to miss the fifth Test against England at Dharamshala due to a quadriceps injury. He is reportedly in London consulting a specialist for the injury, which has kept him out of action since the series opener at Hyderabad.

According to a report in ESPNCricinfo, Rahul is in London to consult a specialist for the quadricep tendon injury that ruled him out of action after the first Test. Despite reaching 90% match fitness, he did not play in the last two Tests and his participation in the final Test is subject to fitness clearance.

Rahul’s IPL team, Lucknow Super Giants, is optimistic about his availability for IPL 2024, which begins on March 22. Last year, Rahul underwent surgery for a tendon injury in his right thigh, causing him to miss the IPL and the World Test Championship final.

Having made a successful return to cricket in the Asia Cup and the Men’s ODI World Cup in 2023, Rahul’s fans will be hoping for a swift recovery and a quick return to the field for both national and IPL duties.
