TV actor Rituraj Singh sadly passed away at the age of 59 on Tuesday, after suffering a cardiac arrest due to pancreatic disease. According to doctors, pancreatic diseases, including inflammation, or swelling, have been on the rise, leading to an increase in mortality rates. Singh, known for his extensive work in shows like ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, ‘Tehkikaat’, ‘Kutumb, was also part of the 2022 web series ‘Made in Heaven’ and 2023 movie ‘Yaariyan 2’.

The actor was admitted to the hospital due to pancreatic disease, which ultimately led to a heart attack that claimed his life. Dr. Piyush Gupta, a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology emphasized the increasing prevalence of pancreatic problems and their potential to lead to mortality. Pancreatitis, the redness, and swelling of the pancreas, can also be associated with myocardial injury, as stated by studies.

Dr. Ashwani Mehta, a Senior cardiologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, noted that severe diseases like acute pancreatitis can affect the heart due to strain, leading to heart failure. Alcohol, smoking, obesity, and gallstones are among the factors accused of causing pancreatic disorders, which also increase the risk of heart diseases. The doctors stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and seeking timely diagnosis and prevention measures to mitigate the risk.

Rituraj Singh’s career spanned over three decades, with memorable roles in shows like ‘Jyoti’ and ‘Beintehaa’. His recent work included the popular show ‘Anupamaa’, the web series ‘Made in Heaven’, and the movie ‘Yaariyan 2’. His passing is a significant loss to the entertainment industry, and he will be remembered for his contribution to Indian television and cinema.
