K'taka: Cong calls upon cadres to mobilise support for LS polls
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and state unit Congress president D.K. Shivakumar has urged party cadres to mobilise support for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls by going door-to-door. Speaking at the Congress Party Workers’ Convention in Mangaluru, Shivakumar expressed confidence in winning at least 20 seats in the upcoming general elections.
Shivakumar emphasized the support of women in the region, attributing it to the guarantee schemes implemented by the party. He urged party workers to seek votes, highlighting the implementation of promises and the unique schemes brought about by the Congress government.
Addressing the alliance between the JD-S and the BJP, Shivakumar questioned the ideological principles driving political decisions. He urged party members to focus on principles and take people from all sections of society with them.
Furthermore, Shivakumar expressed his confidence in the Congress party’s victory, stating that the INDIA bloc will come to power. He also referenced Congress national president Mallikarjuna Kharge’s position, equating it to the esteemed leaders who previously held the same chair.
