‘Laal Singh Chaddha’: Aamir Khan And Kareena Kapoor Khan’s New Film Twitter Review

Ironically, the performer, like the main character in the Memento adaptation, has no idea what “acting” is. Also devastating beyond words. The performer who popularized technique performing now plays Forrest Gump, a character made famous by Tom Hanks from the film that bears the similar name, with noises and more growls. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, the authorized Hindi remake of this Hollywood blockbuster, glides, much like that recognizable white feather that appears frequently in both movies, but each moment it arrives at Aamir’s feet, it is merely trod underfoot.

In contrast to Forrest, Laal is on his journey to see Rupa (Kareena Kapoor Khan, who played Jenny in the classic) when we first meet him. The shot moves up from his scuffed-up shoes to his smiling face and bright eyes. The row ahead of him is occupied by a woman who drags her suitcase in. Laal gives her a fleeting glance before revealing the box of golgappas he is bringing for Rupa.  Finally, he groans. You realize right then and there that the following two to three hours will be rather taxing.

Being a remake of a very famous and classical film, it was quite difficult to impress the audiences anyway. But with the way Aamir Khan laid out his overacting in the film, it ruined the whole scene. The remaining three hours of the film after the opening showed how boring the entire film is gonna be. People are throwing in mixed review, there are very good reviews for Kareena’s acting and her role. But the phrase that, “the worst part of the film is Aamir himself” sort of comes around floating and well, its true.
