LaLiga Update: Real Madrid facing controversy in Valencia as Sevilla make progress

Real Madrid faced controversy in a 2-2 draw with Valencia as the referee blew the final whistle just before Jude Bellingham scored what could have been a 3-2 winner. Bellingham was shown a red card for protesting the decision as Real Madrid dropped two points. Valencia had led 2-0 before Vinicius Jr’s brace.

Sevilla secured a 3-2 win against Real Sociedad, with Youssef En-Nesyri scoring twice in the opening minutes. Andre Silva cut the deficit with a penalty, but Sergio Ramos sealed the win with a header. Brais Mendez’s late free kick made for a tense end for Sevilla.

Getafe and Las Palmas played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, with the visitors coming back from 3-1 down to salvage a point. Jaime Mata and Mason Greenwood put Getafe ahead early, but goals from Sandro Ramirez and Sergi Cardona helped Las Palmas secure a point.

Celta Vigo defeated bottom side Almeria 1-0 thanks to Oscar Mingueza’s 73rd-minute strike. Mingueza’s goal, coupled with Almeria defender Bruno Lange’s red card and Luka Romero’s injury, eased Celta’s relegation fears. Elsewhere, Cadiz salvaged a point against Rayo Vallecano in a game interrupted by a hailstorm in Madrid.
