All About Lil Durk’s Murder-for-Hire Arrest and Recent Snitching Accusations
It was something of an anticlimax and grim irony after Lil Durk, who had just won a Grammy for his Billboard No. 1 hit ‘All My Life’ (feat. J. Cole), has now been charged in a ‘murder-for-hire’ scheme and could face life in prison or even worse, a death sentence.
Lil Durk, a.k.a. Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested by federal authorities on October 24, 2024, on charges related to a ‘murder-for-hire’ scheme and is presently held in Broward County Jail.
Durk appeared at the pre-trial hearing on October 29 in Miami and, according to CBS News, was represented by attorney Alex Ubieta.
Lil Durk’s Murder-for-Hire Arrest and the Latest Snitching Allegations
Prosecutors have stated that Lil Durk allegedly planned and executed a hit on rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for King Von’s murder in 2020.
Five individuals associated with OTF have been charged in connection with the assassination.
Rapper Quando Rondo survived the assassination attempt in 2022, but his cousin, Lul Pab, sustained bullet injuries and succumbed to them.
After Banks’s unsealed criminal complaint, social media was flooded with rumors that OTF Jam had been allegedly ‘snitching’ on Lil Durk.
The rumours were further fueled by internet personality and streamer DJ Akademiks, who suggested that OTF Jam wore a wire for several years to trap Durk and had been providing this information to the Feds.
Who is OTF Jam?
OTF Jam, a.k.a. Kacey Hester, was an active member of Lil Durk’s record label OTF (Only The Family), whose other members included Jusblow600 and former member King Von.
Jam was also involved in brushes with the law and was convicted of shooting in 2010, receiving a 12-year prison sentence, which he served before being released in February 2022.
The snitching allegation surfaced after a court indictment filed in Los Angeles stated that a member from Durk’s record label had been cooperating with the Feds for several years.
Multiple snitching allegations reportedly arose after a court indictment, suggesting that a member from OTF (Only The Family) had been cooperating with the Feds for several years.
DJ Akademiks took to the social media platform Instagram, and his post was captioned:
“He reportedly served a 12-year sentence in prison and came home, only to get booked shortly after on a gun charge, right after allegedly Durk gave him $50k as a coming home gift.”
Also, pictures have surfaced of OTF Jam spotted eating McDonald’s in interrogation room footage. Jam is back in custody and is being questioned over the murder-for-hire allegations. Clips shared by DJ Akademiks show him eating McDonald’s, which has led social media users to respond.
One user stated, ‘Bro snitched on Durk for a Big Mac and fries, and he told for a Kai Cenat meal.’
Another added, ‘You’re probably wondering how I got here.’
