Lindy Cameron appointed British High Commissioner to India

New Delhi, April 11 (IANS) Lindy Cameron has been appointed as the new British High Commissioner to India, succeeding Alex Ellis. Cameron expressed her excitement about the role and is eager to begin her new assignment this month.

Cameron, who previously served as Chief Executive of the National Cyber Security Centre from 2020 to 2024, and as Director General of the Northern Ireland Office in the UK, will now take on the role of High Commissioner to India.

Responding to her appointment, Cameron stated, “I am immensely proud to be appointed the next British High Commissioner to India. Huge thanks to @AlexWEllis for leaving such a great legacy. So looking forward to working with the amazing @UKinIndia team. I can’t wait to get started!”

Deputy High Commissioner Christina Scott also congratulated Cameron on her new role, saying, “Congratulations to @Lindy_Cameron for being announced as next High Commissioner to India. Looking forward to welcoming you to Delhi soon and working with you!”
