21 Best ‘The Lion King’ Quotes or Dialogues To Ignite Your Inner Simba

Made under Disney, ‘The Lion King’ changes the game of animation in 1994. Today let’s get into a few things about the movie that might be interesting to you-

The title wasn’t always ‘The Lion King’

Initially, the movie went through various titles such as King of the Jungle, and The King of the Kalahari. “When I first started work on ‘The Lion King’, the movie was called King Of The Jungle,” producer Don Hahn said.

“King Of The Jungle was basically a story about human behaviour,” Hahn continued. “We were thinking about the idea of how it’s a jungle out there and Simba has to exist in this jungle. However, there was no jungle in our story; they’re out on a savannah. But then we threw that out because we wanted to focus on a simple story about a lion king. At that stage, we thought, ‘Why not call it The Lion King?'”

One of the screenwriters dubbed it Bamblet.

At the making of the storyline, it was decided to dub as “The Making of The Lion King” as per Irene Mecchi Screenwriter of the movie. The story was first presented as “Hamlet in Africa with Bambi thrown in, so Bamblet.” But later we all know how it went down with the name and storyline of the movie.

While editing the film, the opening scene was changed once the director as well as the producers heard about  “Circle of Life.”

As per the featurette of “The Making of The Lion King”, any animated film back in the day would involve an opening scene introducing all the characters of the movie but directors Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff changed it. The “Circle of Life” inspired opening was made, it was so spectacular that the scene was used in the trailer and marked the first time Disney has ever done something like this.

While developing the movie script, the relationships between the characters were very different from the original script. The first one included  Scar as a sole lion without any relation to Simba who was the head of the dangerous pack of baboons. Rafiki was originally written as a cheetah while Pumbaa and Timon were friends with Simba from the start.

The voices of Timon and Pumbaa were given by Nathan and Lane and Ernie Sabella respectively. However, they both initially auditioned for hyenas. According to director Rob Minoff, they both came for the audition in Ney York and met while in the queue in the lobby. Instantly they strike a friendship. They asked if they can audition together. During the auditions they killed it but the voices didn’t seem to sit well with the hyenas’ personalities, so the casting director decided to use them for Pumbaa and Timon. The famous duo is now famous globally.

Today, here we bring you 21 best ‘The Lion King’ Quotes or Dialogues that will help you get motivated to achieve your target in life.
