Lizzo Posts ‘I QUIT’ Post Her Performance At The Fundraiser For President Biden’s Reelection

Recently, Lizzo was performing at a fundraising event for President Biden’s reelection. However, right after the event concluded, Lizzo took to her Instagram to share a lengthy letter, announcing that she quits.

Lizzo Posts ‘I QUIT’ Post Her Performance

Now, fans are left wondering whether she’s quitting music production and performances or her social media presence and public life in general.

Her letter, though heavy and informative, outlined the reasons behind her decision.

Lizzo stated that online harassment and bullying are the reasons behind her decision. She is tired of being the target and the reason for ongoing online jokes these days, and she has expressed her disgust about the same.

“I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the target of jokes every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name. I didn’t sign up for this,”

she wrote in her letter.

Currently, her former backup dancers have filed a case against Lizzo for creating a hostile work environment.

In response to that, she stated that she desires nothing but a fun and creative workplace for her employees.

“All I want is to make music, make people happy, and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it,”

is what she said about their claims.

Ironically, according to gossip around the internet, Lizzo has been accused of body-shaming her dancers. This is ironic because, in her letter, she stated that audiences and online bullies body-shame her, leading to her unhappiness with her online presence and hence her decision to quit. Currently, everything is a moment of uncertainty, as no official statement has been provided by her or her team yet.
