Lok Sabha Results 2024: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and World leaders congratulate Narendra Modi on historic third term

World leaders have congratulated the Narendra Modi Government for being elected for the third consecutive term in the recently concluded Lok Sabha 2024 elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ruling BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a majority in the Lok Sabha elections.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was one of the first leaders who congratulated Narendra Modi on his third consecutive electoral victory.

She also stressed both leaders will strive to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a post on X said,

 “Congratulations to @narendramodi on the new electoral victory and my warmest wishes for good work. Certain that we will continue to work together to strengthen the friendship that unites Italy and India and consolidate cooperation on the various issues that bind us, for the well-being of our Nations and our peoples,”

The Italian PM added that both nations will partner and work together on issues which are common to them and strive for the well-being of their people.

Various world leaders have congratulated Modi on winning a third term and leading his alliance to victory in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections.

Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also congratulated PM Modi and hoped that the two countries will work together for the benefit of their people.

Nepal Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ wrote on X.

 “Congratulations to PM @narendramodi on the electoral success of BJP and NDA in the Lok Sabha elections for the third consecutive term. We are happy to note the successful completion of the world’s largest democratic exercise with enthusiastic participation of the people of India,”

 Nepal PM Pranchanda, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth congratulated PM Narendra Modi.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe hoped that the two nations would work closely to bring peace and prosperity in the region.

The Sri Lankan president wrote on X,

 “I extend my warmest felicitations to the BJP-led NDA on its victory demonstrating the confidence of the Indian people in the progress and prosperity under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi,”.

Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth also congratulated PM Modi on his historic win.

Mr. Jugnauth posted on X,

“Congratulations Prime Minister Modi Ji @narendramodi on your laudable victory for a historic third term. Under your helm, the largest democracy will continue to achieve remarkable progress. Long live the Mauritius-India special relationship,”.

Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu congratulated PM Modi and hoped he would work with the Indian prime minister to advance the bilateral ties.

Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also congratulated PM Modi for being elected for the third term.

The U.S. highly praised the Indian government and the people for fruitfully participating in and completing the Lok Sabha elections.
