Punjab Kings’ co-owner Preity Zinta took to her Twitter account to clarify her statement on a quote related to her that has been circulated on various social media platforms over the past few days.

Talking about the quote, Preity Zinta said she would bet her life to ‘bring Rohit Sharma’ to Punjab Kings and make him the captain of the franchise. Since then, the quote has been dominating the internet.

Sharing her side of the story over her ‘fake’ quote, Preity Zinta talked about Mumbai Indians at great length, and how her viral quote puts Shikhar Dhawan in a negative light as he is the current captain of the team. The post says,

“These articles are a perfect example of how misinformation is picked up without any verification and circulated online. I humbly request all media to refrain from circulating this and embarrassing all concerned parties. All I want to say is that we have a great team currently, and our only focus is to win games and make the most out of #IPL2024. Thank you. @PunjabKingsIPL.”

Preity Zinta clarifies her statement on the viral ‘Rohit Sharma as PBKS captain’ quote

Punjab Kings, led by Shikhar Dhawan, are currently suffering a lot in this IPL season as the team has been placed in 8th position on the IPL 2024 points table.

Regarding Rohit Sharma, this is not the first time a franchise has shown interest in him. Earlier, Justin Langer, head coach of Lucknow Super Giants, also spoke of getting Rohit Sharma in their team.

Shikhar Dhawan will not be playing in the match against Mumbai Indians because of his shoulder injury. Sam Curran, an all-rounder, will be taking his spot.

A video titled ‘Nitrogen Smoked Biscuit’ is going viral on various social media platforms, showing a kid eating nitrogen-smoked biscuits and falling sick. Not many are aware that nitrogen biscuits are harmful to both kids and adults.

Initially, the video was posted on Twitter and later spread to various other social media platforms. According to multiple news reports, the video was filmed in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

From the video, it appears to have been recorded at a local fair in Tamil Nadu. As the video gained more attention, the Twitter handle that posted it allegedly shared that the kid in the video died after eating the biscuit.

The person who shared the video urged to ban these dangerous smoked biscuits by tagging the Tamil Nadu government in the post.

It has been alleged that the Tamil Nadu government recently permitted two such stalls at a recent government fair in Chennai.

This is not the first time a smoked product has been proven to be dangerous to people. Last year, a Delhi businessman had to be hospitalized after spending a lot of time in a pub in Haryana’s Gurugram.

According to doctors, half of his stomach had to be removed because of the harmful effects of a “smoked” product. Many health experts claim that consuming smoked products is harmful to health.

A video featuring YouTuber Shaila Khan teaching a man a lesson on consent is going viral on the internet. The clip shows a man forcibly trying to make her wear a shawl over her head.

Shaila Khan’s video goes viral on social media 

In the viral video, Shaila Khan was interviewing random people, discussing the Iran-Israel conflict and its potential impact on Pakistan. Out of nowhere, a man she was talking to suddenly puts a shawl over her head while reminding her she lives in an Islamic state and must obey Allah’s orders. He says,

“You are standing in front of me in an Islamic country, without covering your head.” 

To which she responds,

“O bhai, tum logon ka Islam dupatte se kyun shuru ho ke dupatte par kyon khatam ho jaata hai?” (Brother, why does your Islam begin and end at a dupatta?)

She further adds that a bigger sin is how a man touches a woman without her consent, saying,

“Is this what Islam teaches you.” 

Additionally, another lady who was standing with her head covered also adds her views, saying,

“Whether she wears a cover or not is something for her to decide. Not you.”

Shaila Khan is a popular YouTuber and social media influencer with 600,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. She is known for supporting India in many of her videos. On her channel, she has made videos in support of Prime Minister Modi, Ram Navami, and the CAA. One of her videos talks about Indian Republic Day at the Wagah border.”
