Lucknow: Anti-demo vehicle in CM Yogi's convoy meets with accident; 11 injured

Lucknow: At least 11 persons, including five police personnel, were injured in a road accident involving an anti-demo vehicle in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The incident occurred near the Mari Mati Mandir in Arjun Ganj when the vehicle lost control and collided with other cars.

The anti-demo vehicle, part of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath’s convoy, was moving ahead to prevent any demonstrations on the road. The mishap was triggered by a dog suddenly appearing in front of the vehicle, causing it to ram into other cars.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), Upendra Agrawal, stated that the accident happened around 7.45 p.m. “Five police personnel and six civilians have sustained injuries in the accident. They have been admitted to different hospitals,” he informed the media.

Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Prasad and DGP Prashant Kumar rushed to the accident site to assess the situation. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment, as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
