Lucknow: People surrounded the authorities on lack of oxygen, tried to attack

Now in Alambagh, Lucknow, there has been news of people’s anger erupting due to lack of oxygen cylinders. Angry over not getting oxygen cylinders, more than 50 people surrounded the drug inspector and other officials. There were also allegations that an attempt was made to burn these officers. Later, the police arrived with the helpers to control the situation, the officials are not aware of any damage.

According to the Lucknow Police, these officers went to inspect a gas service on 19 April. There were already many people standing in line with the gas cylinder. During the inspection, the officials told the people that supply of oxygen cylinders will be provided only to the hospital and no one will be given.

Hearing the talk of the drug inspector, many of them got angry and the argument started. Seeing things getting worse, the police intervened and sent the inspecting team back. Later ACP Alambagh also reached the spot.

This is the reason why Yogi reviewed the availability of Remedicivir and Oxygen while meeting with Team-11 on Monday. It was told that demand for 2,75,000 remedisivir has been sent to producer companies like Jubilant Pharma, Cadila, Myelin and Cipla. Cadila and Cipla will supply the maximum of one lakh vials, while Mylene has to supply 25000 and Jubilant 50,000.
