People are revisiting the social media accounts of the suspect to understand what provoked him to take this extreme step.
Luigi Mangione’s Tinder and TikTok videos have been unearthed and have gone viral on social media platforms.
Users have been sharing screenshots of his social media accounts, though the veracity of these claims has not been confirmed.
The 26-year-old computer science graduate has been charged with second-degree murder, possessing an illegal firearm, and forging identification documents.

As per his Tinder profile, Luigi Mangione has claimed that he is an engineer, and his likes included travelling, reading, and hiking.
He was active on the dating app in 2022. Users have also posted screenshots of the suspect’s OnlyFans account.
However, on scrutiny of the account, it was found that it is fake and was active eight hours ago when Luigi was already in police custody.
Another TikTok user who claimed to be a friend of the suspect uploaded a video that showed him along with Luigi Mangione shopping in a supermarket.
CNN has reported that Luigi Mangione’s fingerprints matched the fingerprints recovered from the site of the shooting.
As already reported, prosecutors have charged Luigi Mangione with one count of murder, two counts of having an illegal weapon, and one count of forging identity documents.
Luigi Mangione holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science. He is the chief suspect in the murder of Thompson.
He had rigged a ghost gun using 3D printing technology and also fashioned a silencer. It is believed that he used the weapon to shoot Brian Thompson. After a manhunt was launched, he was recognized by a McDonald’s employee who promptly alerted the police.
After his arrest, the police recovered live ammunition and a two-page document from the suspect.
Social media posts on the Reddit handle of the suspect revealed that he was suffering from a condition known as spondylolisthesis, an ailment caused by the misalignment of the vertebrae of the spine. The condition caused severe back pain and led to insomnia and other mental disorders.
