According to the information offered, Kapil Sharma has informed the investigating organization that he will be unable to appear on Friday due to a shoot in another country. Hina and Huma, meanwhile, have cited private reasons for their absence. All three were called on October 5 in connection with the Mahadev betting app issue. Following an opulent UAE wedding costing 200 crores with celebrity performances, this online betting site came under fire in February of this year.
The Mahadev Online Book Betting app, according to the authorities, acted as a hub for the creation of user IDs, the registration of new users, and the unlawful money laundering operation through a sophisticated network of unnoticed bank accounts for illegal betting websites. It is believed that Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppalis ran this business mostly out of Dubai. Furthermore, it is claimed that “protection money” was used to pay bribes to prominent government officials.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched 39 locations in connection with this investigation and seized illicit property worth 417 crore. Additionally, non-bailable arrest warrants for the involved parties were issued by a PMLA special court in Raipur. Ranbir Kapoor and other famous people from the movie and sports sectors are reportedly also thought to have participated in promotional operations for the Mahadev betting app, based on an ANI report citing sources.
The Enforcement Directorate has earlier declared success in locating the key players involved in the money laundering operations. Four people, notably the main contact of the betting syndicate, were detained following operations in Chhattisgarh the previous month.
