Man dies, two injured after clash at Delhi restaurant
A 23-year-old man tragically died while two others were injured following a violent altercation between staff and customers at a restaurant in a north Delhi mall. The incident occurred at the “Yaaran Da Adda” restaurant at Vardhman Mall in Pitampura. The deceased was identified as Jatin Sharma, with the injured named as Varad and Prashant. The altercation took place on Tuesday night as the group was celebrating Sharma’s birthday, leading to a fatal outcome.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer, Jimmy Chiram, a quarrel broke out between Sharma and his friends and the restaurant workers due to a misunderstanding, ultimately resulting in Sharma being stabbed in the chest while Varad and Prashant sustained injuries. The police were alerted to the incident at 3:27 a.m. and subsequently arrived at the scene for further investigation.
Following the analysis of CCTV footage, local information, and witness accounts, the authorities have identified several alleged culprits, including the owner of the restaurant, Kishore. As a result, six individuals have been detained in connection with the incident. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
