Man discovered deceased in vehicle in Lucknow

Lucknow, April 3 (IANS) – The body of 46-year-old Sushant Paul was discovered in his car parked near Sanskriti Enclave in Eldeco Udyan Second, causing distress among locals and his family. Sushant, a resident of the area, left his house on Monday at 1 p.m. but did not return, prompting concerns about his whereabouts.

According to police reports, on Tuesday afternoon, the colony watchman notified the family that Sushant was found dead inside his car near his home. Locals, who noticed the stationary vehicle parked since morning, alerted authorities by calling UP 112 for emergency services.

ACP Cantonment Pankaj Kumar Singh, along with a police team, swiftly responded to the call and initiated an investigation into the matter. The forensic team was also called to collect evidence from the vehicle, shedding light on Sushant’s struggles with drug addiction and past marital relationships.

Sushant’s father, Rumesh Vijay Paul, revealed that his son had a history of drug addiction and had been married since 2007, despite facing marital issues. SHO, PGI Brijesh Chandra Tiwari confirmed that Sushant’s body had been sent for a post-mortem examination, with initial police observations suggesting a possible alcohol overdose as the cause of death.

No allegations have been made by family members against any individual thus far, as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding Sushant’s untimely demise, raising concerns about addiction and mental health within the community.
