Man wanted for killing bank employee at Delhi bar apprehended

New Delhi, March 29 (IANS) Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a wanted man in connection with the death of a Bank employee following a quarrel that broke out between “Yaaran Da Adda” restaurant workers and customers over a misunderstanding during birthday celebrations in the outskirts of the national capital last month.

The accused, identified as Aman (27), had been on the run since the crime on the intervening night of February 20-21 when Jatin Sharma (23) was stabbed to death and his friends injured at the restaurant bar in Vardhman Mall, Pitampura.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Satish Kumar stated that Aman was apprehended after specific information indicated he would be meeting an acquaintance near Jai Mata Store, Budh Vihar.

During interrogation, Aman admitted to his involvement in the altercation that led to the tragic incident. He disclosed that an argument between Jatin and a female employee escalated into a physical fight, with the bar owner and other employees attacking Jatin and his friends with weapons.

The heinous attack resulted in Jatin succumbing to his injuries after being admitted to a hospital. Aman and his accomplices fled the scene after the violent confrontation, leading to an extensive search operation by the authorities.
