Manipur dominates Uttarakhand in Sr Women’s Hockey Nationals, secures final quarterfinal spot with 11-2 victory (Ld)

Manipur Hockey dominates the competition as they seal the final quarterfinal berth by thrashing Hockey Uttarakhand 11-2 in the 14th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2024. Sarita Devi Bramhacharimayum and Prabhleen Kaur scored braces in the victory.

Hockey Manipur ended their pool matches undefeated with nine points from three wins, setting up a quarterfinal clash against hosts Hockey Maharashtra. In other matches, Hockey Himachal played out a 4-4 draw against Hockey Rajasthan, while Hockey Karnataka defeated Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Hockey 13-0.

In the Pool G match, Manipur Hockey showed their dominance with goals from multiple players including Vartika Rawat, Sonia Devi Kshetrimayum, and others. The team put up a strong performance to secure a convincing win and a spot in the quarterfinals.
