In Himachal Pradesh, 49 students and staff of a boarding school have been found to be Corona positive amid rising cases of covid-19. Coronavirus testing of a total of 49 staff and students of Pinegrove School near Dharampur town in Solan district came out positive, with the total number of positive cases in the two schools in Solan district rising to 150.
Deputy Commissioner K.C. Chaman told the media that the situation in Pinegrove schools in Dharampur and Subathu was appalling, both schools have been declared as content zones.
Earlier Dalhousie Public School, a prominent residential school in Chamba district, was also reported to have Corona positive of 122, which had 99 students and 23 staff members, while the state schools and educational institutions were ordered to be closed by April 21 last month. Was given, but residential schools were allowed to remain operational.
Apart from Solan, the situation in other districts like Kangra, Una and Sirmaur is equally worrisome with positive cases increasing every day.
