Sony Pictures Acquires Worldwide Rights to ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’
Los Angeles, Feb 18 (IANS) – Sony Pictures has made a major deal at the European Film Market in Berlin, acquiring the worldwide rights to ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’, a fantasy romance starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, reports ‘Variety’. The film will be directed by South Korean-born American filmmaker Kogonada, with Seth Reiss penning the script.
‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’ marks Robbie’s follow-up role to ‘Barbie’, the $1-billion blockbuster that she also produced. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is teased as “an imaginative tale of two strangers and the extraordinary emotional journey that connects them”.
Production is set to begin this spring in California.
