Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Swift prices increased. Find out their current prices

Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its flagship SUV Grand Vitara and Swift hatchback by up to ₹25,000. The price hikes went into effect on April 10 as part of the company’s decision to revise prices due to higher commodity prices and inflation. The price of the Grand Vitara’s Sigma variant has been raised by ₹19,000.

Maruti Suzuki announced the price hikes during an exchange filing, revealing that the entry-level Sigma variant of the Grand Vitara SUV now starts at ₹10.95 lakh (ex-showroom), up from ₹10.76 lakh previously. The other variants of the Grand Vitara remain unchanged, with the price going up to ₹19.97 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Alpha Plus Intelligent Hybrid variant.

In addition to the Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki has also increased the price of the Swift hatchback by ₹25,000. The price of the Swift now ranges from ₹5.99 lakh to ₹9.03 lakh (ex-showroom), with the company yet to specify if all variants will see a price hike. The carmaker is also expected to launch a facelift version of the Swift later this year.

Earlier in January, Maruti Suzuki had raised prices across its lineup to combat rising production costs. The company aimed to alleviate the impact of inflation and increasing input costs on its customers. The recent price hikes are reflective of the ongoing challenges faced by the automobile industry in balancing cost pressures and consumer affordability.
