Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire 2024 models spotted testing with sunroof upgrades

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is gearing up to launch the new-generation Swift and Dzire, with revamped exteriors, interiors, and a new engine. The vehicles were spotted around Kufri and Narkanda during high-altitude testing, hinting at a possible sunroof feature in the Dzire.

Manufacturers often test vehicles in various conditions to ensure consumer satisfaction. The Dzire was seen equipped with snow chains, navigating tricky road conditions in the testing phase.

Both the Swift and Dzire will undergo significant design changes, with a revised silhouette to enhance aesthetic appeal. Interior updates include a dual-tone color scheme, new dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a new instrument cluster.

Powering the cars will be a new three-cylinder petrol engine dubbed Z12E, offering slightly lower power but better fuel efficiency compared to the current models. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox in India, with the possibility of a CVT unit or 5-speed AMT for automatic variants.

The new engine delivers 80 bhp of power and 108 Nm of torque, with a fuel efficiency figure of 24 kmpl. The upcoming Swift and Dzire are set to offer a revamped driving experience with improved features and performance.
