Backlash Hits McDonald’s Employee Nancy Parker as She Misses Out on Reward After Identifying Shooting Suspect Luigi Mangione
The McDonald’s employee who identified the suspect in the shooting of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompson is facing criticism for her actions.
Also, the employee is unlikely to receive the bounty of $60,000 which was offered by the FBI and the Police for information about the suspect.

McDonald’s Employee Nancy Parker Faces Backlash
The employee’s name was Nancy Parker and she was instrumental in the arrest of the prime suspect in the killing of Brian Thomson, Luigi Mangione. However, she is facing flak for her role in the episode. Also due to a slip on her part to contact 911 instead of the tip line, she will also not receive the reward of $60K.
A Facebook user who went by the name Jacob Stambaugh wrote along with Nancy’s account details and the screenshot of the now-deleted post,
“She bragged about it on her Facebook. Scouring for a screenshot rn.”
The user also revealed that Nancy lost her job at the outlet because she contacted the Police on company time. Nancy had made several posts in which she detailed the current situation and the backlash she is encountering now.
Nancy Parker had identified the suspect and informed the NYPD. However, as per a report by the media house Tribune, she will not be eligible for the reward offered by NYPD of $10,000 and by the FBI of $50,000 for any tip-off on the whereabouts of the suspect.
Any person who qualifies for any reward offered to a suspect would have to be nominated by relevant authorities which has not happened in the case of Nancy Parker. Also, tips submitted through Crime Stoppers are eligible for rewards. Any person must get in touch with the tip line directly in order to claim the NYPD’s reward and this has not happened in Nancy’s case. Instead, Nancy called 911 and hence she will not be eligible for the rewards.
Nancy Parker is also facing the ire of netizens and in a now deleted post her grandson wrote,
“I had to take down her profile picture because people were threatening that they would come to her job or house and do horrible stuff!!! Altoona, PA McDonald’s has gotten nothing but screaming customers from all over coming in…”
He further added,:
“[They are] yelling at working staff, staff cars and store property being vandalized, someone taking a sh*t outside one of the side doors, and call after call after call of NASTY people harassing the McDonald’s, screaming insults and threats into the phone!!!!”
