#Melodi: Narendra Modi and Giorgia Meloni’s Selfie At The ‘COP28’, Celebrates Alliance Between The Two Nation

Social media users are losing it over the photo shared by Giorgia Meloni on Friday. It was a selfie of her and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. She posted the picture on X and captioned it with, “Good friends at COP28. #Melodi.” Narendra Modi shared the photo and added the caption, “Meeting friends is always a delight.” This happened while they were both at the ongoing 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai on Friday.

Narendra Modi spoke about the efforts India and Italy are putting in collectively towards the welfare of the nations, which will eventually lead to a developed, well-planned, and sustainable future. PM Modi posted a statement on X where he stated, “Met PM @GiorgiaMeloni of Italy on the sidelines of the #COP28 Summit. Looking forward to collaborative efforts between India and Italy for a sustainable and prosperous future.”

Others In Attendance

In the same summit, he also met world leaders like UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Barbados counterpart Mia Amor Mottley, French President Emmanuel Macron, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UK PM Rishi Sunak.

The summit is mostly to focus on climate change and how it impacts nations all around. PM Modi addresses these issues in front of the leaders. However, this was PM Modi’s 3rd attendance at the World Climate Action Summit he attended the first in pairs back in 2018 and Glasglow in 2021. The summit is currently continuing it started on November 28, and will continue till December 12, and this year it’s getting hosted by the UAE.

PM Modi and PM Meloni celebrated and acknowledged their successful partnership of over 75 years which improved the relationship between the two countries and created an alliance between them.
