Mike Myers’ Controversial Donald Trump-Volodymyr Zelenskyy Skit Sparks Outrage as Elon Musk Slams ‘Lies’ in SNL’s Satirical Showdown
The meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump could hardly be said to be cordial and some even labeled it much akin to a brawl.
The tense meeting and its unwanted outcome have spawned concerns across the globe, especially in Europe and NATO.
The meeting was also the subject of a Saturday Night Live (SNL) skit which lampooned last week’s tense White House meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President.
However, the skit did not amuse Tesla Chief Elon Musk and took to X and said that humor fails when it lies. Musk also derided SNL’s portrayal of the political encounter.

The SNL Skit was titled ‘Elon Musk’s Cold Open’ and James Austin Johnson played Donald Trump, Bowen Yang as Vice-President JD Vance, and Mikey Day as Zelenskyy. However, a dark twist came when SNL alumnus Mike Myers – dressed in a long black coat and wielding a chainsaw portrayed Tesla Chief Elon Musk.
The SNL skit began with Johnson’s as Trump introducing himself as the “President and CEO of Gaza Hotel and Casino”. He strode to Zelenskyy and welcomed him to an incredible trap and it was big and beautiful.
After a pause, Johnson’s as Trump stated that they are going to attack Zelenskyy for no apparent reasons. Yang’s as JD Vance intervened and said that the kitty also has claws.
The skit featured numerous humorous moments like the one where Johnson’s as Trump can be seen making fun of Zelenskyy and his outfit and said,
“Love the casual Star Trek-look. It’s a great show because there’s no DEI. The white guy was the leader, and he bossed around Spock, who I believe was Guatemalan.”
For the unversed, Zelenskyy had faced flak for wearing casual attire during his meeting with Trump who was impeccably dressed in a suit.
SNL skit also depicts Trump asking Zelenskyy to make peace with Putin and offer his wife as a peace gesture. This led to Yang’s as JD Vance angrily retorting and asking what happened to the Thank You which was long overdue and the latter had been shouting himself hoarse for the past 15 seconds for it to come from Zelenskyy’s mouth.
The skit also made fun of Trump’s speech patterns and the latter listing random items,
“I have the cards. I have Skip. I have Draw Four. I have Reverse. I have Get Out of Jail Free– the Supreme Court gave me that one. I have Pikachu, Charmander and Charizard. All I’m missing is a Charmeleon.”
It is at this juncture, Elon Musk played by Mike Myers, makes his entry brandishing a chainsaw and states that people are accusing him of firing people with no apparent cause, but he does have a cause and it is that he feels like it.
