Minorities Rights Day in India 2023 Quotes, Wishes, Images, Messages, Greetings, Shayari, Sayings, Drawings, Banners and Posters

National Minorites Rights Day is celebrated on 18 December every year. The Minorities Rights Day is observed to acknowledge and highlight the issues and rights of religious minorities in India. It aims to raise awareness regarding the rights and importance of minorities in the country. By doing this, the government of India wants to promote inclusivity and harmony among the diverse groups existing in Indian society.

To celebrate Minorities Rights Day, various types of events, and seminars are organised where their concerns and issues are discussed and worked together to find the solution for it. This helps in understanding the groups in a far more better way thus bringing equality and justice among them.

Every year a new theme is announced to highlight the concerns of Minorities Rights Day in a more profound way. This year i.e 2023 the theme will be ‘Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion’. The latest theme will help in promoting the inclusivity and diversity of the minorities of India.

Back on 18 December 1992, the Declaration on the Individual’s Rights Belonging to Religious or Linguistic National or Ethnic Minorities was adopted and later promoted by the United Nations.

For those who are not aware, Minorites are people or say communities with a smaller number of people than the major groups in the classifications in terms of their race, religion, practices, ethnicity as well as other characteristics.

It should be noted that the Constitution of India does not define minorities but does acknowledge linguistic and religious minorities. These groups include Buddhists, Sikhs, Muslims, Jains and Parsis. They come under minority communities under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.
