Miss USA 2019 Winner Cheslie Kryst Dies at Age 30

The Miss USA 2019 winner, Cheslie Kryst, has died at the age of 30. Kryst had been working as a correspondent for Extra since winning the pageant. In her time with the show, she interviewed celebrities like Lady Gaga and Hugh Jackman.

She was also an advocate for survivors of sexual assault. “My platform is all about empowering women and survivors,” she said in an interview with People magazine after being crowned Miss USA. “I want to help people know that they are not alone.”

“She was an inspiration to so many, from her work as a lawyer fighting for social justice and especially in the way that she carried herself. Cheslie’s light will live on through what people remember about this great woman – not just one who shone but also served others.”

The family of Cheslie Kryst said, “She was a shining light and inspiration to so many people around the world.”

They went on about how she cared for others through her work as both an attorney fighting against social justice issues in legal circles while also serving them personally by hosting EXTRA show where she could be playful with humour when needed too!

Cheslie Kryst, a former Division I athlete and North Carolina attorney won the Miss USA contest in May 2019.
